The flt was 9 1/2 hrs from Singapore to Christchurch and for the benefit of doubt to those who dunno where Christchurch is, its in New Zealand.
Touch down on time today and the flt was pretty smooth. No cranky or naggy seniors and I thank god for that!!
Met a very cute New Zealand gal today. First met her at Changi Airport, the moment i step in, this little blond hair gal run up to me asking if she can take a picture with me. I readily agreed as I have a soft spot for children!!
Coincidentally, she is going to Christchurch as well and same flt as me!!
However, i was working FWD today while she's seated at the AFT. =( Was looking around for her throughout the flt and finally happen to c her at the toilet during lull period. The moment she saw me, she ran up to me and gave me a hug!! So sweeeeeeet!!!
When we finally land into CHC, she came up to me again and gave me a sweet. She's definitely so sweeet!!
Met her once again at the airport. She was waiting for her baggage at the belt with her parents and younger sista. I went up to them and ask to take a picture with them. Not exactly very well taken but well, it will always remain a memory in my heart. =)
After checking into hotel, i met another 4 crew to have lunch and had the usual crew's fave outstation activity and that is to go supermarket.
I really enjoy going to the different supermarkets in the world as you get to c the staples and kinda food they sell. Kiwis were selling at 99 cent NZD per kilo!! Therefore, I bought 1 kilo and got about 10 kiwis!! Cheap!! But, its not the usual big big ones that my mum buys. Slightly smaller but who cares, as long as it looks, feels and taste like kiwi can liao. heez =p
Saw avacados and bought a packet of it too!! Even though I have never been a fan of it, I just buy for the sake of trying it. There's peach and apricots too!! Wanted to buy but fruits are heavy lah. Still contemplating if i wana get it since i will still be here tml. (But, most likely, i will buy lah.. heez.. for my smart boy lah.. wad to do? =p)
Head back hotel shortly after as the 4 of them are tired and hitting the sack anytime. My GS, Titan who coincidentally happen to be Joey's batchboy who specially change for tis flt sign up for the Enduoras tour with me tml. Its to see the scene of the movie, Lord of the Ring.
Cost me NZD 179 k. Most expensive tour I've ever joined. It better be good else I will boil!! Hahaha... But saw the pics on my batchgirl, Annie's friendster. Looks magnificent indeed.
But, Im not well prepared at all!! For my last few flts whereby its winter, I always bring along 2 pairs of shoes - 1 boots and 1 covered toes flats and I will always bring my jeans along. This time round, I dunno wad got into me, I din bring boots and jeans!!
Thinking its summer now and shouldnt be tat chilly, I decided to travel light this time. Only brought along an extra mamasan bag instead of cargo. But damnz, din expect to go up the mountains and Titan was like, 'u sure u wana go hiking like tis?? quickly go shop for a pair of boots!!'
Afterall, i was only wearing a 3/4 leggings underneath a denim skirt. Luckily i brought along a scarf so I guess its not too bad ba.
The shops here closes at 5am and the ppl on the streets amazing disappear gradually too!! So, din manage to get boots or jeans. haizz~
*can only pray tat the weather will be kind to me tml. >fingers crossed<
Walked along the whole empty street along Colombo Street as I c a mountain at the end of the road. Wanted to check out what it is but after walking a good at least 30 mins, I gave up cos it realli seems NEVER ENDING. -__-
Found another supermarket there and I continued with my 'auntie shopping'. Haha..
This time, I bought stockings and tampons!! Ooppss.. Saw a few different brands here than our friendly O.B back home. So, decided to try it. lOlxx
My Kolotex stockings from Australia has given up on me and although my batchgal, Floy has already gotten me 2 pairs, we just dun seems to be able to find a time to meet up! So sad.. =(
This pair looks pretty decent n good to me too cos its thick like Kolotex. Hope this will be good!! Shall wear it for tml's tour so at least my feet gets some protection from the cold. =)
Still managed to come online after i came back hotel as I missed my smart boy lah so i text him to come online and we chatted. He told me that Clive St was reported 6 dengue cases and he was worried about me as we just went there on Thursday.
For the benefit of doubt, Clive St is in Little India. Yupz, we went to check out that most undesirable place. hahahaha... He's been mocking at me that i will be spending 4 days of CNY in India. haizz..
I was like sneezing later in the night after our tour to Little India. Btw, we went to watch a musical too!! Catch 'Beauty World' at Esplanade and we find it so-so only. I actually doze off a couple of times during the first half of the show!! Ooopss!!
As I was telling my dear Chin tai-tai online just now, (yes, I FINALLY got to talk to her after like soooooo long!) I'm dating now.
He's my smart boy and I'm her brave gal. Its a little lingo among ourselves k. ;)
Its amazing at how we started. Though its like like coming 2 wks but we always have endless to talk. Our first date was to have crabs at East Coast and we sat along ECP and chatted for 6 hours.
Yess... 6 hours jus pass by in a blink of eyes!! I was still saying tat 6 hours can reach Korea already lor while we jus shared a stone chair and talked.
Our next date was to the Night Safari and that's how my term, 'brave gal' came about. lOlxx
After our musical, we sat in front of the merlion, yet sharing another stone chair and chatted under the moonlight again.
We really have alot of things in common and shares the same opinions on certain issues. His weakness is my strength and my strength is his weakness. Therefore, in a way, we complement each other.
However, we have an open r/s as he declares that he does have alot of gals and asked me if I will be jealous anot. My reply was 'I do, can have alot of guys too. =x)
So, we shall take things slowly and see how things goes. All i can say now is that, we both enjoy each other's company very much and always looking forward to our next date. =)
Anyway, I slept for like only 4 hours just now than I wake up to answer nature's call and cant get to slp liao. =(
Therefore, here i am, in crew room, with my lappy. =)
Read my cousin's Jac's blog and found out that she just went for the final interview for SQ and she got through! She went for medical checkup and waiting for training now.
Looks like there's gonna be new topics to talk about during CNY this yr since I will be in town on Chu 1 to go bai nian. Heez =p
Its 5.30am here now (GMT +13, 5 hrs ahead of SIN) and I need to go back my room to rest now. Gotta wake up in 2 hrs time to go for my hiking adventure. Hahaha
Im just so in love with my job!! There's sooo many places to sight see in CHC and I wana try horse riding, rafting and perhaps even sky diving next time!! I'm greedy k. hahaa
I've got phobia for heights so once I gather enough courage, I will try sky diving. Not cheap though. Cost about SGD 300 for that few seconds of lifetime experience.
Afterall, as what Titan says, 'This may be ur first time to Christchurch but definitely not ur last time right?'
Yeah.. I'm just too kan chiong spider at times lah. Wanting to make full use of my each stay here to visit as many places as possible. =x
