The room i spent my night in. Doesnt look like a hotel at all right? Nevertheless, I had a really pleasant 23rd bday this yr and I'm glad I'm still loved by my dearie frens even though without a special someone!!
Even though I was a little upset as for the first time in my life, I'm spending my bday alone in a foreign land but i realise I'm not!!
Upon touching down after a 6hr 40mins flt into Melbourne and after completing all the post-flight duties and ready to leave the aircraft, my LS asked me if I've introed myself to the cockpit crew.
Guess wad..!!
As i walked over to shake the captain's hand and say hi, the whole set of crew of more than 20 people (cos its a jumbo aircraft) suddenly sang me a bday song!!! I was totally taken aback and shocked!! After the bday song, he handed me a gift from the Kris Shop as well!!
It was truly a very kind and sweet gesture of the Captain cos its very rare tat such a thing will ever happen onboard especially since there's no more team flying now.
Nevertheless, when i got back my room to c wad it is, it's a really meaningful present. Its a aircraft model of the megatop 747 aircraft cos that's the aircraft tat we flown in today!! It certainly makes my first foreign bday memorable!! =)Throughout the flt i was feeling sooooo damn stress cos the CTS is onboard and I know I'm on check again. This check is very important cos it will determine if i will pass my probation on time anot.
But, luckily, the product knowledge questions which the CTS ask my LS to test me on, I'm able to answer them all though I was suddenly snooked by him in the midst of service. I'm glad he was very happy with my answers and my work throughout the flt.
Therefore, i'm praying tat I get an even better check than my previous one!! Than things will go on positively and end of probabtion!! yeah~ =)
Anyway, after the pleasant surprise i got from the crew, I received several smses from my dearie frens and its really sweet reading such smses when u r alone in a foreign land. At least for me, I felt I wasnt exactly alone!!
Since its a early morning touchdown, I decided not to waste my day away sleeping, especially since its my bday!! Therefore, although I've planned to go to the zoo to c koala bears and kangaroos, I gave it a miss.
Reason is bcos, I read abt this Sunday market @ St Kilda's which is along a beach and several stalls selling handicrafts and everything sold is all handmade. It caught my eye and I thought since its a Sunday, might as well go for this cos the zoo will always be there and I can go again next time.
Afterall, I get Australia flts every mth. Koalas wont run away!! lOlx =p
I decided not to stinge on myself since its my bday so I treated myself to a Hungry Jacks breakfast before starting my day ahead.
First time having Hungry Jacks breakfast. Its like a combi of our friendly MacDonalds & Burger King. The wrap i had has got sausage with egg. Jus like tat of our Big Breakfast but the hash brown is a far cry from ours!!After asking several people, I finally concluded where to take the tram aka bus there.
Flinders Street Station, which is 1 of the happening places to go to in Melbourne. My hotel is walking distance from here!!

Here's the tram station!! Initially i was wondering what is a tram but after some definition from the hotel conceirge, I figured out tat its wad we term as a bus except tat it's connected to cables and wires to keep it moving. Quite a few countries have trams thou.The tram ride took abt 20mins before almost 1/2 the people on the tram gets down. All to the same destination - St Kilda's.
To have a stall here, u need to DIY ur own products. Therefore the shops here sells really exquiste handicrafts but with an extremely high price so I couldnt afford to buy it. =(But, nevertheless, there was this shop tat sells some really nice simple accesories which I couldnt resist buying it!! Its really so pretty and reasonably priced which explains why the shop is the only one with lotsa customers buying it and not jus looking at it!!
I got 2 rings, 1 bangle and a necklace.
Necklace @ AUD $18.
2 rings @ AUD $5.
Bangle @ AUD $10.Tats my little bday gift for myself!! heeheez =p
As i walk down the whole stretch of stalls, there is this little 'town' tat has several restaurants/cafes and few shops selling clothes and stuff. Quite a number of people are already drinking during broad daylight.

Another shop selling seafood which claims to be fresh from the sea. Leaving it like this, I really wonder how fresh can it remains??
Went down the beach and took a stroll along to the pier. Discovered tat at the end of the pier is a restaurant. With a wonderful sight of the sea, I decided to sit down and have lunch.
Of cos, the prices was quite high end and after much consideration, I went for a seafood spagetti and cost me a freaking AUD $24!! -.- But, luckily, its really nice.
So happen tat the table i sat on is number '25' which is my birth date!!
It was a beautiful sunny day and most of the customers wore shades to have lunch.
So was i!! But it was realli too windy and this top i wore just aint enough to keep me warm.
The pier nearby with several yatches. U can rent a yatch here and go out in the sea.Than, while waiting for it to arrive, received a sms from *E* wishing me happy bday and sorry cant date me out for dinner due to his injury which will be postponed till he recover.
Well, although somehow i was indeed waiting to c if he will sms me and he really did which of cos, I was beaming with delight so I replied back and a exchanged a few sarcastic sweet sms.
hahaha =p
Afterwhich, I took the tram back, shopped around my hotel area before surrendering back to my room cos the zzz monster is simply kicking me and the weather here is simply too chilly and windy!! I just couldnt stand it anymore!! Din expect it to be like this cold despite winter is over.

Slept for awhile before i woke up to pack my bag. Well, I can never slp in peace if I know my bag is not packed before my flt.
Was afraid I might wake up later in the night, I decided to come down and look for some food and surf the net since its complimentry!! keke=p
I'm heading back my room and probably catch 2 episodes of Sex & the City before I continue sleeping!!
Will be back tml afternoon!!
