Finally back in Moscow and heading home!

Finally my 10 days long flt is coming to an end. I am right now back in Moscow and heading back home tmr before embarking on my 8days holiday with my family.

It was one of the gal's bday so the whole set of crew met up for dinner upon check in last nite.

Dinner was at the italian pasta joint near the hotel. I find the food is so-so only and overpriced. Yes, the standard of living in Moscow can be quite high! I ordered a caesar salad with shrimps thru in room dining and after a 25% discount, it still amounted to about $40!! my god.

I love pizzas overseas. They are thin crust n yummy. A far cry from our friendly Pizza Hut.

I ordered spagetti with TIGER shrimps n this was wad I got. How TIGER indeed!

My whole set of crew with me on this 10days flt including the pilots. 1 of the crew brought his wife n daughter along. So sweet!

Macdonalds in Russian!!

The italian joint where we had our dinner.

Mama shops in russian style? LOL~

We think he looks like Julian Hee!!! Wad do u think???

And today, I spend my time in the room and cooked my own lunch!!

Mee sua with mushrooms, dried shrimps and egg!! It certainly beats the spagetti i had last nite!! hahahaha... =D

And I borrowed this book from my colleague yesterday and finished reading it by afternoon.

I totally agree with alot of incidents she brought up about the start of cabin crew, the culture, the outstations. Heard she is coming up with book 2 too. Shall wait for it to be out and borrow from someone who has it!! Cos i feel $20+ for this book is abit not worth actually.
And if I can finish it in less than half a day, i seriously dont see the need to buy it.
There is a website for this as well. Check this out! www.milehighclub.sg
Im going back my room now to have my dinner!!

I cant wait to go home!!!!!
And on a happier note, I got back my old MSN account. Thanks to Marlon from MSN who help me get it back!! =)

**1st Clear Day in Houston**

Hellooooo!!!

It's my 1st clear day in Houston today and most of us has plan to go to the Factory Outlet. As they were 2 sets of crew altogether, thus about 20 of us are going. So, we rented 3 SUVs from Hertz.

Thankfully, we manage to get 3 7-seater cars and not the initial 4 5-seater cars when we first called thus I am spared from being the driver and I can 'relac 1 corner'. kekeke

I chose the white Ford. Big and comfy for me to 'relac one corner'. ;)

It was a short approx 25 mins drive to Houston Premium Outlets. Everyone was filled with anticipation.

My khakis on this flt, Pamela and Charlene.

It's Pamela's first time to a factory outlet in States and I must say she has got very high resistance against shopping recklessly and spending monies. Very unlikely me! When I went to my first factory outlet in San Francisco, I went crazy and ended up with many big shopping bags!

But this time round, perhaps after flying for awhile, I literally grew sick of shopping. The clothes on display just doesnt seems to excite me at all.

I just have NO FEEL to buy anything! And the same goes for both of them and we were like 1 hr more to go before meeting the rest of the crew so we ended up having coffee at Starbucks and do the all time fave for gals - gossip!

hahahaha =D

This outlet wasnt as big as I expected it to be or like what Clement told me how FANTASTIC it is. It is infact third behind New York and San Francisco.

Yes, the factory outlet in New York, Woolsberry is the BEST. This is a big far cry from that.

Since we were early and didnt wana waste the car we rented, thus, we decided to head to the other outlet, Katy Mills which supposedly is not bad too with brands such as Old Navy, American Eagle.

Another 25 mins drive...!

Katy Mills, another Factory Outlet in Houston, an indoor shopping style. Supposedly to be better but Charlene and I both feel its just like tat of the one in LA.

We were disappointed once again as we walked and thought if we might head for another cuppa coffee again.

Instead, we had lunch.

My lousy lunch of noodles and chicken. You can choose from fried/white rice or fried noodles and add 1-3 items of meat but trust me, our friendly 'chap chai beng' in coffee shop is way better than this and wider variety! Of cos, very much cheaper n tastier toooo!
The other options available are only burgers, pizzas and burgers and more pizzas. =(
I'm quite proud to say I didnt buy much at this shopping trip as compared to the rest of the crew who had few big bags!! But, i guess that's a stage everyone has to go thru.

Instead, I bought my usual fridge magnet and a little keychain with my name to hang on my handbag.

Yupz, like many others, I collect fridge magnets and I have whole lots of it!!
Over at Bath and Body Works, I didnt have anything to buy as I still have alot of body lotion, shower gel left from my previous shopping trips thus I bought this Anti-bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand gel due to the recent H1N1 cases and due to my job which is considered high risk as i am exposed to people all over the world.
One for myself and the other one for my family when we go Korea for holiday after this flight.
We went into this 'Papaya' shop and I thought I needed to buy something so I just got this leopard print top. Well, I love leopard print stuff and im like 'collecting' them. hahaha
There was a Polo Ralph outlet as well.
I bought a polo tee for my dad cos its much cheaper than in SG and I wanted to spend money.
Than I saw this yellow checked short sleeve shirt that is nice n cheap!

Reduced to only $19.99 USD!! And its Polo Ralph!
Since I bought 2 shirts for dad, my mama will get jealous if I dont get her anything!!!
So, I 'chin chai' bought her a polo tee as well.
Afterall, I have enough of clothes, bags etc for myself. I certainly do not need another item to add on to my 'already bursting wardrobe'.
But, on the other hand, I am currently thinking of buy this 2 gadgets!!
For fun!!!
White Polaroid camera by Fujiflim!! To take instant photos which I think is so memorable cos u can write something on the photo itself instantly!
Cost only about $100.
But, this is purely for fun and $100 for fun? Hmmmm...

Than, I thought about Joseph's DS Lite which I borrowed from to play on our way to Bali previously.
I know Im way outdated to think of getting this onli now after the whole world is like dumping this in one corner but well, I was thinking I can pass time faster with this as I enjoy myself in the room!
LOL~
Still thinking about it!!
Right now, Korea trip expenses more important.
I have another clear day tmr in Houston before I return to Moscow and I cant believe I am only halfway through my 10 days flt.
I am misssssssing home!!!!!!!
Yes, seriously.

Just touch down Houston!

After a 12 hrs flt from Moscow, I've finally touch down Houston, GMT -5, 13 hrs behind Singapore. (In fact as I write this post, its 12 Jun 10.46am in Singapore while its still 11 Jun 9.46pm in Houston. Jetlag!!!)

Its my first time to this city in States and I'm a little excited about how this city looks like!

Will it be as boring as LA or busy as New York or will it be a shopping paradise like San Francisco?

I was full of anticipation before coming here but after checking into the hotel, I feel its a city closer to LA as in, if not for the Galleria Mall just opposite the hotel i stay in, and throw in some palm trees, its just like LA, yes, tat boring. *sigh*

Anyway, I met up with some of my crew to have dinner at Cheesecake Factory which is like your Waraku in Singapore. A famous joint everywhere in the city.

I've been to the one in San Francisco and the Q is always horrible!! Thus, I make a reservation from the hotel conceirge and to my surprise, the crowd here is pretty alright!
As the name of the restaurant suggests, its famous for its cheesecakes but we're here for the main course and cheesecake is their dessert which I seldom get to try. That is due to the enormous serving of each main course. (I seriously have no doubts that the Americans can REALLY eat!!!)

They have a wide variety of cheesecakes available and you will definitely be spoilt for choice!

Check out this 'Virgin Boy Certificate'. Its actually a cigarette case belonging to my colleague.

I love my bread with balsamic vinegar! They serve u infinite portion of bread which I think is totally crazy considering their huge main course portion!

Spagetti belonging to Pamela.

Chicken Sandwich belonging to Charlene.

And my Garlic Noodles with Shrimps!
The photos simply cant show how big the portion is but i really couldnt finish it!
Felix, the owner of the 'Virgin Boy Certificate' ciggie box owner.
There were actually another 4 colleagues but I wasnt really close to them on this flight thus, i stay with my khakis.
We were all tired after dinner but still head on to check out the so call Iphone for USD 99. Dorinn ask me to check it out for her as her Ah Beng saw it somewhere in the news this this phone is going for USD 99 which was supposedly to be the old stock as the new Iphone is coming in soon.
Charlene and I wanted to check it out if its true anot and to our dismay, its only applicable for 2 yrs contract.
Sigh~ What a disappointment!
And back in the room,
I feel so happy cos I really enjoy myself in the hotel room these days!!

My basin and make up area separates from the bathroom!!

My room upon check in which immediately seems like the aftermath of World War 2!!!
LOL!
And, previously in Moscow,
Thanks to my new lousy btl which crack and causes the whole of 2 litre of water soaking through my whole cargo, causing everything to be wet!!
Damnzzzzz! -.-
As a result, I had to hang out all my clothes out to dry. You will be amazed at how I find each possible way to hang my clothes!!
And, I cooked tuna fish porridge and I added dried shrimps aka 'Hei Bi' into my porridge!!!
I'm really starting to enjoy myself in the room, slacking, cooking, watching my HK dramas and of course, catching up on zzzz!
Yes, now I'm going to bed while everyone in Singapore starts their day!!
GoooooooooD Nitez!
